GRIPSERT SPECIFIED FOR SLIP-RESISTANT ramps
GRIPSERT WAS SPECIFIED FOR A series of 9 metre accessibility ramps at Epsom Girl’s Grammar . . .
Often exterior grade carpet is laid as a surface to ramps to increase slip resistance, but this can stretch and tear over time - When the carpet is wet it’s harder for wheelchairs to gain traction and requires increased physical effort by the user. Other products like standard decking are prone to be slippery when wet.
Gripsert was specified because it allows for better grip in both wet and dry conditions due to the aluminium tread insert. It provided an effective long term, permanent solution.
Product was supplied cut to length which saved site time in construction.
